As a trainee (f/m) in the field of purchasing you will cooperate closely with our various suppliers, especially regarding components for alternative drives. You'll be involved at the initial phase of vehicle projects, conduct negotiations, identify the best suited suppliers and ensure their successful integration within the BMW production network. Alongside steering our external partners, you'll ensure the successful coordination of internal interfaces like R&D, quality management and the logistics department. With your commitment and expertise you'll contribute significantly towards realizing a smooth run of production in the best quality possible.

You should have:

  • An above-average degree in business or industrial engineering, or a technical field of study with a specialisation in business administration or similar.

  • At least six months of relevant practical experience in purchasing or quality management in a technical environment or in business strategy (study-related or professional).

  • At least four months experience of studying, working or travelling abroad.

  • A track record of participating in extracurricular activities.

  • Fluency in German and English (additional languages would also be advantageous).

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • A strong analytical mind.

  • Drive, determination and a willingness to take on responsibility.
