As Trainee Production Electric Powertrain (f/m) you’ll become part of an experienced and passionate production team for electric motors and batteries, working innovatively to create a smart production environment. With your passion for innovative solutions to make powertrain production fit for the future, you will contribute significantly to the start of production of our new electrified models. Supported by an experienced mentor, you’ll benefit from various stations with a strong focus on project management and process implementation. Working with us means agile transformation goes hand in hand with innovations in the field of predictive maintenance, data analytics and digitalization.

If you’ve got the drive to turn your visions into reality, we’re looking for you! Starting on 1 April 2019, this 18- month opportunity is designed to prepare you for a career in a competitive environment and a guaranteed position at the BMW Group afterwards. You’ll be supported by a mentor, work abroad and build your own invaluable network of global contacts.

You should have:

  • An above-average degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, computer science or comparable engineering disciplines.

  • At least six months of relevant practical experience in the engineering field, preferably in project management (study-related or professional).

  • At least four months experience of studying, working or travelling abroad.

  • A track record of participating in extracurricular activities.

  • Fluency in German and English (additional languages would be advantageous).

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A strong strategic and analytical mind.

  • Drive, determination and a willingness to take on responsibility
