Navigation Systems are made to find the right way. Go your way and join our team as Trainee Develop­ment Navigation Functions (f/m), and develop innovative concepts for the formation of the display navi­gation regarding on- and off-board components, all the while focussing on the customer‘s needs especi­ally regarding the map and navigation functions. Customer services include location-based information, dynamic content of internet and infrastructure, as well as mobility and intermodality information. Your mission is to combine these functions without increasing the complexity for the user.

Starting on 1 April 2019, this 18- month opportunity is designed to prepare you for a career in a competitive environment and a guaranteed position at the BMW Group afterwards. You’ll be supported by a mentor, work abroad and build your own invaluable network of global contacts.

You should have.        

  • An above average university degree in informatics or electrical engineering with a strong focus on information and/or communication technology or a comparable degree.

  • At least six months of relevant practical experience in the fields of consumer programming, technical design or similar (study-related or professional).

  • Knowledge of user experience design, software design and -architecture and connected applications preferable.

  • At least four months experience of studying, working or travelling abroad.

  • Fluency in German and English (additional languages would also be advantageous).

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills together with sovereignty in coordinating complex projects.

  • Drive, creativity and a willingness to take on responsibility and give new impulses in the field of con­nected navigation.
