Our collaboration with our suppliers is based on a mutual understanding of product and production quality, security of supplies, competitive prices and innovation. To ensure a holistic approach to sustainability throughout our supplier network and guarantee continuous improvement, we are now on the brink of introducing the new quality tool IPQ. In accordance with our motto “Make life a ride”, you'll become part of an experienced and passionate team with a family-like atmosphere that offers you deep insights into the whole supply chain.

Starting on 1 April 2019, this 18- month opportunity is designed to prepare you for a career in a competitive environment and a guaranteed position at the BMW Group afterwards. You’ll be supported by a mentor, work abroad and build your own invaluable network of global contacts.

You should have.

  • An above-average degree in industrial engineering, or a comparable degree with a specialisation in purchasing or quality management.

  • At least six months of relevant practical experience within the field of purchasing or quality management of technical parts (study-related or professional).

  • A good understanding of purchasing processes (development of commodity strategies, qualification of suppliers, handling of the process chain).

  • At least four months of experience studying, working or travelling abroad.

  • Fluency in German and English, additional languages such as Spanish, Italian or Portuguese would also be advantageous.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Drive, determination and a willingness to take on responsibility.

  • A motorcycle driving license would be ideal for test drives and participating in events.
