Traineeship in digital transformation, AI and business analysis

Your role

As a trainee in the Language Support and Innovation Section, you will:
  • assist with solution design involving workflow management, AI capabilities, integrations and reporting;
  • support the evaluation of technology options and proofs of concept;
  • contribute to process modelling, user journeys and future-state operating models;
  • coordinate with stakeholders from business and IT areas;
  • support Mendix low-code development;
  • support web development (Node.js) and AI development (Python).
  • The traineeship offers you excellent opportunities to work closely with business experts, IT architects, project managers, cybersecurity specialists, AI experts and external consultants, gaining exposure to the design and delivery of a large-scale digital transformation programme within a European institution. You will be part of a multicultural team that strives for continuous innovation to make a positive impact on the lives of European citizens.

    Qualifications, experience and skills

    Essential:
  • a bachelor’s degree or higher in information systems, computer science, business information systems, data science, engineering, digital transformation, business analytics or a related field;
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • proficiency in JavaScript, Python, C#, Java or another programming language;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • attention to detail;
  • an ability to structure complex information and present findings clearly;
  • a very good knowledge of the MS Office package;
  • an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the .
  • Desired:
  • familiarity with business analysis and low-code platforms (e.g. Mendix);
  • an interest in multilingual communication.
